In order to develop the best back possible, you want to combine exercises that target the major muscles of the latissimus dorsi (lats) and the trapezius (traps), as well as the muscles that run along the length of the back — the erector spinae. If you fail to hit all three muscle groups, muscular imbalances can develop and this can lead to back injuries and even make it difficult to execute other exercises. Happiness Tough Spotters
